FOC SCHOOL OF MINISTRY
The Elders of F.O.C. have put together a three arm initiative to
disciple, equip and train its members and leaders.
They are called Equip To Serve, Equip To Lead, and Equip To Equip.
EQUIP TO SERVE – I Timothy 1:5 – “The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”
‘Equip To Serve’ is the first in a series of training initiatives becoming available at Fellowship of Christians for those who would like to dig a little deeper so that they can shine a little brighter for our Lord. This course will last two semesters and will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm--8:00 pm. The scope of this first course should help all those seeking to live a life that makes our faith attractive to others through the way we live and communicate what God has done for us. We will use the book ‘Life On The Highest Plane’ as the basis for our curriculum. Travis Arterbury, PhD will facilitate the course along with periodic guest teachers. EQUIP TO LEAD – II Timothy 2:2 – “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”
‘Equip To Lead’ is our second training initiative available to those who feel a call to leadership and are willing to be trained to be servant-leaders who will lovingly serve God’s people through their gifts of leadership in the marketplace and in the church.
We believe that God has uniquely gifted people and put a passion in them for a ministry that glorifies God and edifies people. Our desire is not only to help you discover that ministry, but to equip every believer for ministry.
We will provide classes and leadership tracks to train, equip and provide opportunities for you to minister. We believe that when Jesus ascended, He gave gifts of the 5-fold ministry to equip every believer for ministry. EQUIP TO EQUIP - Ephesians 4:12 – “…to equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
‘Equip To Equip’ is an upper level training initiative to prepare, train and release leaders for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:7-12). The pre-requisite for the class is that you already are in a recognized leadership position, involved in teaching or preaching ministry or desiring to become involved in full time ministry. There will be opportunities to shadow and participate with those working in the areas of pastoral, youth, worship, prophetic, evangelistic, teaching or apostolic ministries. Successful completion of this course can lead toward licensing and ordination by Fellowship of Christians Church.
